Photo Manipulation

I think this is the most unethical because it completely changed the message of the photo. It makes the soldier look lie he is going to shoot the man if he doesn't stop moving, but in the actual photo the soldiers gun is down and he is listening to the man.

I think this is the least unethical because they didn't make a huge change like adding or taking something out, all they did was move the placement of the pyramid. From a different angel the Pyramids could look like that depending on where the photographer is standing.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Photographers, professionals or regular people, are constantly changing photos. They can take items out of photos or add extra items in. People do this to make the photo more interesting or to alter the message that the photo is conveying. If a person gets caught altering a photo then all of there credentials are taken away and most of the photos they have taken will be blocked so the public can't see the altered images anymore. This is completely unethical because people look at the pictures in a newspaper to help add to message that the article stated and if the photo is altered then the people are getting a false message.

Post shoot Reflection

A challenge I had some was trying to think abstractly instead of just taking a picture of just something that says bowie or a square. It was also hard because once lunch started we had to move around to get the desired picture. I thought about the focus of my photos because i didn't want the object to be out of frame of be too close or far away. If I could do this again i would focus more on framing and lines because I like the way those concepts draw your eyes to the main subject in the photo. I would do my bowie photo the same because it has framing and simplicity and i just really like the way it looks.

Merger

In this photograph the smoke and the building are the same color so it hides the main subject of the photo, the building. You can also barely see the remains of the other building that has already collapsed.

Framing

In this photograph the smoke coming from the buildings frames the rest of the city, and the bridge also frames the smoke creating depth.

Balance

This photo creates balance because you have the Empire States building up front towering over everything else, but in the back you see the twin towers, also taller than everything else, smoking. Your eyes are drawn to both buildings equally.

Lines

This photo shows lines because the lines of smoke draws your eyes to the side of the building where you can see the people getting ready to jump out. The vertical lines also represent the direction that the people will be falling
