2. One thing i wished i had spent more time on was the motion shoot. The pictures weren't very good and didn't fit the criteria the best because i did it with my friends dog which was not the easiest to deal with. If i had given my self more time to get a better subject then i could have gotten ether pictures to fit the criteria, but instead i waited until the weekend before because i had no time with band.
3. In lightroom I would like to learn how to use some of the effect tools more. They could add more to my pictures and I didn't really pay attention when you first went over it and just learned the basic functions i would need. I don't really have just two specific things to learn i just want to go deeper into lightroom so i can better learn how to use it to my benefit.
4. I think the work load for the class is good for people who aren't doing anything else, but for people who have time consuming extracurriculars it was too much work. With two event shoots, a free shoot, and two big projects it was hard to keep up with that, my school work, and be at band everyday after school until nine and most saturdays. I think maybe cutting it down to one event shoot would be really helpful and take off some of the stress that comes with having so much going on.
5. My favorite assignment that we have already done was the landscape shoot. Landscapes are one of my favorite things to take pictures of so i really enjoyed that shoot. For that shoot i also got to check out a wide angle lens, which i loved. It just opened up so many more possibilities for my pictures that i could do and i liked how i could get so much more into the frame.
6. The most difficult shoot for me was the depth of field project. I had trouble getting everything set up where there was enough light and getting the camera to focus on what i wanted it to focus on was difficult because i couldn't always tell what it was focussing on, though that might be because i was wearing my glasses instead of contacts. I also didn't understand everything about my camera when we did that shoot since it was pretty new and i hadn't explored really with the cameras at school.
7. The topic i am most excited about is the HDR photography. I really like the way those images turn out, especially at night, and it is exciting that we are going to go more into it than we did last year. I think it will be a great opportunity as well to take more landscapes since that is usually what HDR photos are of and those are my favorite types to take.
8. I'm not sure if this is what the tilt-shift lens is, but i would like to learn more about the 360 photos people can take. I know there is a specific lens for that but it is something i think looks really interesting and it would be fun to do for a free shoot or something if we learn.
9. Photography for me is more of a hobby, and maybe going into it part time. Though i do love taking pictures i want to go to collage for physical therapy. I do see myself taking pictures well into the future, but i don't see it as a profession.
10. I think we should go into different camera equipment because it is a necessity for photography. Knowing about the different lenses or other add ons to the camera could help make the photos we take even better and branch out into different types of photography that we maybe won't talk about in this class. we should also learn how to take care and clean the equipment we have so they don't break before they should and can stay usable.

12. Overall I think this first semester has been really successful. I feel that i have learned some more things about photography, and life skills in general. I'm glad there was not as much busy work as last years photoJ class but there has been a few days where i have had nothing to do so it was a bit boring. I feel that we have a pretty good relationship with most people in the class and there are only a few annoying people so its not the worst class in terms of productivity for myself. Some of the formal assignment myself and a couple of my friends have been a little confusing how they are worded on the paper and the number of how many pictures we will be turning in is unclear at times, but overall i think they are pretty well thought out. The event shoots and free shoots are often times a little confusing with the number of pictures and i would like a little more structure with them, but thats just my personal preference since i know i like having all my project explained in a very detailed matter. I have been really enjoying the class so far even with the struggles with band and keeping up with all the assignments and i look forward to learning more next semester.
